This is the blog for University of the Pacific's Upward Bound TRiO program. We, Upward Bound, work with first generation and/or low income background students from Edison High school in Stockton, California. This blog will consist of posts highlighting some of our students, events, and program reminders. We encourage our students and parents to use this blog to remain current in the program.

About us


We are a college preparatory program that is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. At the University of the Pacific, we realize the importance of working with out local youth to assist them to successfully complete high school and get ready to attend college. This program admits students through an application, essay questions, and their parents tax return. One admitted, students have access to FREE resources such as

  • Tutoring

  • Mentoring

  • College application support

  • SAT Prep

  • Financial aid & Scholarship assistance

  • Educational field trips

  • College campus tours

  • Personalized Graduate Success plan

  • Summer Programs (students can earn college credits)
